Name KARLSON, Karl
Born Sweden
Died 2 December 1930
Age  36
Cemetery Probably at sea
Grave Ref
SPRI Ref: 1228/17/64;D

The SPRI records tell us that Karl was a flenser on the ‘Salvestria’, which was out on the whaling grounds, and died of acute pancreatitis in approximate position 55° S 10° W.

He left a widow, Gudrun in Nøtterø. They had no children.

The ship did not return to South Georgia until March 1931 so it is most likely that he was buried at sea.
