Anders’ great granddaughter Hanne Marie Deleng writes to tell us that the inscription is incorrect, and that he actually died on 6 March 1927. This is confirmed by the Register of Deaths entry.
He was born in Sandar, Vestfold, Norway in 1899 so was 27 when he died. His wife was already 8 months pregnant with a daughter who was born 7 April 1927.
